"MITE enabled the Migrant Facilitation project supported by TASSOS". To maintain and retain the integrity and Dignity of Migrants Individuals and Families and to support their livelihood initiatives undertaken for Income Generation Activities.
To achieve this, steps were taken to identify the inhabited migrant individuals and Families. The identified migrants were given an orientation for their rehabilitation in Livelihood by providing Life Skill training in Tailoring. Tailoring Institutes were set up at Arul Nagar, Palayam, and Aruppukottai by appointing well-trained Tailoring Instructors and providing a three-month Course, facilitated with Training Certificates upon completion of the Course.
World Day of Migrants and Refugees is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of September, 29th of 2024, with the theme of the Holy Father's message "God Walks with His People". The same was celebrated in the Parishes at Madurai Railway Colony, Pakkiyanathapuram, Ayyampalayam, Sirumalai, Kodaikanal, and Chinnamanur.
